Welcome to 2010

Hi everyone, and welcome to a new year. Hope you all had a safe and relaxing Christmas and New Year. There has been some suggestion that there may not be no Club Mal-nutrition this year and I am here to tell you that this is not the case. We are alive and well, and as long as there are members who are willing to come along, have a surf and catch up with mates, then there will always be a club for you! As you will see, we have a new committee that is excited about this new year and raring to go!

Our AGM was held on the 16th of January and thank you for those who turned up and especially those who put their hands up to become part of the new committee. Without these people, there would be no club so I thank them from the bottom of my heart. Your new committe for 2010 are:

Committee: Serg Caradonna and Peter Hewitt

This club for me is a place where I find friendship, fun and great surfing. My vision for last year was to pass on the Aloha spirit of love, peace and compassion. At the end of last year, after the presentation night, I lost sight of that for a while and let the opinions of a few overshadow what I think was a fantastic year for the club. Everything I do within this club and my life comes from a place of love and this is what I will continue to do.

To the outgoing committee, thank you also from the bottom of my heart. Bob, Clive, Oz and Gareth put in an amazing amount of hardwork last year. Everything ran smoothly and from the comments of so many members, it was a very positive year. And you know, for me that's what counts!

Thank you so much also to all the members. What an amazing group of members we have! Every pointscore, you all were willing to help out by lugging the gear backwards and forwards, volunteering where ever you could, and taking your turn at judging. It is these things that continue to show me what great community we have within this club. And as we have a couple of new committee members taking over as gear stewards from Clive, all your help would be greatly appreciated again.

We kick off the year on the 31st January and I look forward to seeing you all down at the beach bright and early to register for another great year. And as always, we are more than happy to receive any suggestions or comments that would improve this club.
