Welcome to 2010

Firstly, I must apologies for the slackness in keeping the website current and updating the info. Time seems to be something that I am in much need of at the moment. But finally I
have succeeded in carving out a bit of time for this!

I was away at a leadership training weekend for the last pointscore so missed that one.
But from what I have heard, it was a beauty! From all accounts, it was some of the best waves we've had for a pointscore in a while. Thank you to Peter and Serg for putting up
their hands again to provide you with a hot breakfast. They will continue to do this each pointscore, so bring your $5 for something to eat and a drink. You will find the results
posted now that we have two pointscores under the belt, there are new links to the pics
and a newsletter will be posted shortly. On that note about newsletters, from this year onwards, I will be emailing out the newsletter and also posting it to the website - a much
more environmentally friendly approach.

We held our first committee meeting last week and discussed a number of things. The suggestion around a grade between A and B was brought up again but as we mentioned at
the AGM, this would only be possible if there were enough members to facilitate this. Unfortunately, for the this year we will not be able to instigate that but it is still a possibility
for next year. The club tees for this year are on the go and we are getting prices and sizes together. I doubt they will be ready for the March pointscore, but definately for the April.
And this year, the club will be subsidising the entire amount!

Also, the committee has agreed to continue the Seven Miles of Smiles Charity Classis with
a few changes. We are looking to support a more local chartiy this year and will enlist the
help of a service club to provide the catering for the day. So put down Saturday 1st of May
as the date. Entry forms will be up in the next few weeks.

Gareth is organising a camping night down at the Gerroa Caravan Park for the Saturday
night before the March pointscore. For those of you who went last year, it was a great
social night with a BBQ and plenty of laughs. And if you didn't come las year, don't miss
out on this years! Gareth needs to book the sites so please let him know ASAP if you need
a site. If you can't make it for the sleepover, please join us for dinner by bringing all you
own gear but the clubs BBQ will be there.

See you on the 28th!

Samantha
